Mitchell has been an active member of 快播 since 2012, making significant contributions to the association. His roles have included Secretary and Vice President on ACT Local Council, Vice President on NSW South Coast Local Council, NSW State Director and National Deputy Publications Director. Mitchell has presented at 快播 National Conferences, been an invited speaker at Local Council events and written for 快播 publications. A standout achievement has been leading a team of 快播 members from across Australia to produce the 快播 Sound Bites, short audio clips that focus on literacy teaching practices for members. Mitchell is a lecturer in language and literacy education at University of Wollongong, where he promotes quality literacy education through his research and work with preservice teachers.
