The Initial Teacher Education Quality Assurance Oversight Board has officially begun its work across universities, bringing significant shifts to how teacher education programs are evaluated and delivered. Are you wondering what this looks like in practice for literacy education? Navigating the New ITE Quality Assurance Landscape鈥

 

The has officially begun its work across universities, bringing significant shifts to how teacher education programs are evaluated and delivered. Are you wondering what this looks like in practice for literacy education? The 快播 Teacher Education Special Interest Group is presenting an interactive panel session where three participants will share their first-hand experiences working with the board, offering valuable insights, practical reflections, and a space for open discussion.

 

Participants will gain:

        Practical insights from colleagues with direct experience of the Oversight Board process.

        A deeper understanding of current policy and quality assurance developments in Initial Teacher Education.

        Ideas for strengthening literacy education within evolving accreditation and accountability requirements.

        Opportunities for professional dialogue, networking, and collaborative problem-solving.

 

Note: This is a live, real鈥憈ime online session. No recording is permitted. Attendees must be current 快播 financial members, register with their full name and workplace email and use these details to join the session. All registered participants will be emailed the Zoom meeting link two days prior to the event.

This SIG provides a collaborative space for Australian teacher educators working in English curriculum and literacy across early childhood, primary, and secondary initial teacher education. Our goal is to foster a networked scholarly and research community for those with a special interest in English and literacy teacher education, professional learning, and advancements in research, policy, and pedagogy. We look forward to connecting and sharing insights鈥攋oin us for this important discussion!
